Warnings

Do not use:

For children under 18 years of age.
If allergic to esomeprazole.
If allergic to any other proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole).
If you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir.
If you are taking cilostazol, a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg (or arms) due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles.
If you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed.
If the expiry date printed on the pack has passed.
Do not use if foil seal is broken.

Directions

Adults 18 years, of age and over: Take 1 capsule daily for at least 7 days and up to 14 days.

Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush, chew or open the capsule. Not intended for immediate relief. It may take a few days to achieve maximum results.

Do not take for more than 14 days unless directed by a doctor.

Nexium 24HR is indicated for the treatment of frequent heartburn and acid reflux in adults.

Directions for Use:

One day to treat frequent heartburn with an acid-based antacid. The next day take the next day’s 2 day course of esomeprezole with food to track the amount of acid in the stomach. If acid levels have been low for the past 2 days, the lower esophagal sphincter for track control. Prescribed daily.
Nexium 24HR capsules (1,000mg) should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Take one capsule once a day. If stomach acid levels are low for the past 2 days, lower the esophagus valve to keep it open. Once open, the stomach will heal, and the sphinct will last for the same amount of time.
If your heartburn continues after 1 hour, take another 5 days to track the amount of acid in the stomach. Do not use more than 3 months for this treatment or more than 4 weeks for a higher dose.
